I found this software on Reddit and figured I'd give it a shot. I've been using Hunyuan 3D 2.1 in ComfyUI for mesh creation since it's free, but it doesn't handle materials by default, and even after trying different nodes and watching tutorials, I still couldn't get it working the way I wanted. I'm pretty green when it comes to adding materials to a mesh, so I wanted something more beginner-friendly, and this one just seemed interesting to me.
Pros
- Very easy to use. The workflow is straightforward and doesn't involve any node setups, which is a nice break from ComfyUI's complexity.
- Automatically generates texture materials. This is a big plus for me, since getting proper materials out of Hunyuan was something I never fully figured out.
Cons
- Quality is just okay. Like most AI mesh generators, the results tend to be a bit blurry or soft. Don't expect super-clean, production-ready models.
- The built-in 3D viewport never worked for me. I had to use Windows 3D Viewer instead. Not a deal-breaker, but worth noting.
- Mesh density settings feel the same. I didn't notice much difference between Medium and High density outputs.
The software definitely has potential. I'd love to see support for multiple input angles to help improve model accuracy. As for the price, was it worth the $45? For now, I'd say yes. It fills a gap for people who want simple, no-fuss mesh generation without diving into more technical tools.

I don't use Jupetar very much, only about 10 generations so far. I bought it mainly because I had trouble installing ComfyUI. Personally, I use it to generate characters from anime and video games for my projects.
The good news: generating the actual 3D models works quite well. I'm generally satisfied with the quality of the geometry.
The bad news: textures often have bugs or just don't turn out very well. That's my main issue right now.
What I'd love to see improved: A way to upload photos from multiple angles (side and back views). Right now, the model often misjudges the distance and position of the object. Being able to provide more angles would really improve the quality. Live generation preview, the 3D viewport doesn't work right now, so you can't observe the process. A more intuitive console that clearly shows the number of steps and stages. More precise model configuration options.

heres my review for this program. im looking forward for this really as a aspiring game developer and dont have time for modelling this program is a massive help to cut a huge time for your work! i just wish this is a low end system friendly? maybe can run smoothly on 2060 atleast i know this program needs a powerful pc to run but im not that rich if i wanted to have a powerful rig will take me years or decades before i can buy one. hope since this can be a help for indie devs like me i hope this program can evolve towards the idea that it can run smoothly and faster on low end too!
about this program so far it can generate i just tried low poly one here on 2060 it took me 1hr tops just to generate imagine you generate higher or medium. but if you got a powerful rig this is a huge help! the viewport is running well now too!
so far im happy using this but hope it will innovate more like running on low system too! that is a massive win! hoping to see what the devs will add soon! or any features to add i will be here!
great tool devs!

For someone who knows 0% about ai or how to get comfy or pinokio to work, this is a must have. For everyone else looking for something serious or a working alternative for production, hard skip. Not refunding, purely because what I think the devs are doing is a good thing. But as a power user, I'd recommend they open up the actual model settings a bit more for finetuning. I have this exact workflow running in comfyui, and my results are far superior. And now with triposplat, its just gotten faster as well. Which is also the primary reasons I would never release something like this. Hope the devs are good at staying up to date. Hope they don't limit themselves to Hunyuan models seeing the models they use are now considered ancient in ai terms.

What can I say, the Dev helped me personally get Jupetar to work. I know he will help you if you have problems. It will not magically do all your work, but it will beat starting from scratch by a mile. Blender is a must.
It gives me better results for 3d printing than my stand alone program TripoSR but do not expect the results of a paid subscription on Meshy or Tripo3d as you will be disappointed.
Pros
- You own your copy!
- You are your own censor.
- Make as many as you want, there is no limit.
- Don't pay every month.
- Free updates and patches with an active Developer!
Cons
- Not as high of quality as the companies that charge monthly.
This software will be producing brilliant results in the near future. Buy it · Learn it · Survive the AI explosion

A good tool for neural network enthusiasts who use 3D modeling from images. If you want simple installation and automation, this program is your choice.
upd. I'm very pleased that bugs and issues are being addressed promptly, and feedback is being provided. A lot of work has gone into completing the 2.5 update. Excellent!
I'll be keeping an eye on updates.
